Support This Project

Blogging is not something I do for money. But it does take time away from other projects that do support me, and that means sometimes I cannot find the time to blog as often as I like. Getting me to a point of life balance means time for this project, my apothecary, my family, and my community life.

  1. One way to support this project is to support Boline. Buy herbal remedies and toiletries from me rather than at big chain stores. Burt's Bees, for example is owned by a mega-corporation and they have found lead in their colored lip gloss. Yuk. Try natural medicines instead of having us all dependent on big pharma. Big pharma pollutes and keeps medicines from the poor on a regular basis. Herbal medicine has been used for centuries and is accessible to all.
  2. Another way to support this blog is by donation, if you are so inclined. My paypal account is at lillitushahar (at) gmail (dot) com. Be sure and note that it is a gift, and tell me Witch Mom blog sent you!
  3. Yet another way to support the blog is by purchasing a gift from any of my wish lists:

  1. Hello. I stumbled onto this blog while looking at your Pinterest page & I love both! It is exciting to know that someone is planning to develop a homeschool curriculum that is in tune with my family's values and beliefs! My daughter is 2 years old and we plan to homeschool her, though I don't have all the details worked out yet. I was thinking of something like Unschooling meets Waldorf with a Pagan flavor. I'm also very determined to have my child learn REAL history in ways that she can apply to what is happening in the world today, as opposed to memorizing fabricated stories from textbooks (ie; Columbus, etc.)I have no idea how I am going to work this all out and honestly I sometimes doubt wether I am capable of teaching my child. However, I know I can do a better job than the public schools. So needless to say, I am delighted to find that someone is developing a curriculum that sounds like it can meet all of my needs! I would love to help in any way I can & although our finances are tight right now, I look forward to contributing via donations & books, etc. whenever I can. My husband and I intend to open a shop where we will sell natural Waldorf and/or Pagan inspired toys, natural things for the home (beeswax candles, etc.), rocks & crystals, books for parents and families (attachment parenting, non-violent communication, homeschooling, alternative families, Pagan Parenting, etc.) and children's books that reinforce positive values (love, compassion, respect for nature, celebrating seasons, tolerance (religious and otherwise), etc. Basically things for anyone interested in living a natural & compassionate lifestyle. So, on my Pinterest page, I've been keeping a list of books for my wish list. You may or may not find these books useful, but I thought I would mention it, since you said you are researching books. All of the books on my "Favorite Children's Books" board are Pagan friendly (though not all are Pagan) and incorporate many of the values you mentioned that would be taught in your curriculum. The books on my "Books For Parents" board are mostly books on attachment parenting, compassionate discipline & non-violent communication, etc. I think you are already following my pins, but I thought I'd mention that those boards are basically my ideas of books to carry when my husband and I open our shop, so they are all about the above mentioned values. Also, when you do write your book, I would love to carry it in our store! Another resource I have found helpful in my search for books is http://www.veganfamily.co.uk/bookstore.html They have great selections on respect for animals, the environment & also feminist children's books. Anyway, just stopping by to say how much I appreciate the work you are doing! I have learned so much from your Pinterest page alone! I'm looking forward to reading more blogs on here & can't wait to see that curriculum! Thank you so much! -Lana
